Who we are

A holding company leading a portfolio of ten businesses across energy, logistics and distribution, services, media and hospitality.

What we do

Set strategy, govern with discipline, share capability across the portfolio and create long-term value for every company in it.

What we don’t do

The group doesn’t deliver operations. Our companies do, and they are named and credited for the work.

Our structure

One group. Three tiers.

The Africo name leads where it adds strength, endorses where trade partners look for backing, and steps back where a company’s own brand serves its market better.

Africo GroupMaster brand · strategy and governance

Tier 1 · Africo family

Branded house. Shares the A icon and the Africo type system.

Tier 2 · Endorsed

Own identity, visibly backed by Africo in trade contexts.

Tier 3 · Independent · The Kitchen Collection

Three restaurants under The Kitchen Collection, each on its own name.

Our companies

Ten companies. Five sectors.

Each company runs independently and leads in its own market. Filter by sector, then open a company for its details and website.

Hospitality · The Kitchen Collection

The Kitchen Collection, Hospitality Group seal

Three kitchens in Cape Town, run by people who cook.

The Kitchen Collection is Africo Group’s hospitality house. Omilo, Fogo and Avero each keep their own name, kitchen and following. What they share is the standard behind every door.

In-house marketing

Every story, told in-house.

Reset My Brand is Africo Group’s own production and performance marketing company. It produces the content behind the group and every company in it, from campaign films to the work that fills each restaurant.

Africo Energy partners with Nashua

A new partnership brings Africo Energy’s tier-1 solar supply to more South African businesses through Nashua.

Read More Show less

Africo Energy has formed a partnership with Nashua, one of Southern Africa’s established providers of integrated business solutions. The partnership pairs Africo Energy’s tier-1 solar supply with Nashua’s reach into the business market and its franchise network.

For businesses, the result is simpler access to properly specified solar: equipment chosen for long-term performance, supplied by an importer and wholesaler that holds stock locally, and delivered through a partner they already deal with.

With electricity tariffs continuing to rise, solar is a long-term cost decision. Partnerships like this make that decision easier to take, and easier to get right.

Avero Italian Kitchen opens, completing The Kitchen Collection

Contemporary Italian joins Omilo and Fogo in Observatory, and the group’s hospitality house now has its three founding kitchens.

Read More Show less

Avero Italian Kitchen is now open at 51 Gogosoa Street, Observatory: contemporary Italian, cooked properly, in a room made for long lunches and slower dinners, where time slows and flavours linger.

Avero is the third kitchen in The Kitchen Collection, Africo Group’s hospitality house, alongside Omilo Greek Kitchen and Fogo Portuguese Kitchen. Each restaurant keeps its own name, kitchen and following. What they share is the same standard behind every door.

With Avero open, The Kitchen Collection is complete in its founding form: three kitchens in Cape Town, run by people who cook. The seal was drawn with room for more.

Avero is open Monday to Saturday from 11:00 to 22:00 and Sunday from 11:00 to 21:00. Book at averokitchen.co.za.
